Eldest in a family of two children who have distant bloodlines to the House of Aquinas, a noble household which had long since dispersed.

After his best friend Jhunnar Azotea left for Durachi to enroll in the Durachian Academy to become a soldier, Bjorn also left home to find work in order to gain financial independence which little did he know his path would lead him to the same place where he would become his best friend's subordinate.
